      Hello.

I use Opera since a long time now, and I have 2 annoying bugs...
      This : http://i.imgur.com/qgSfX4s.jpg

First - The black arrow -
As you see, the option is disabled, and the auto-complete still works. How to fix that ? (I have this bug since the option was added in the new Opera)

Second - The red circle -
This thing fill itself over time since the last version, and I don't know how to make it stop. Any idea ?

(Yes I play Clicker Heroes because I'm bored... Don't judge me T_T )

Afaik this option is not related to autocomplete. There is no way to disable auto complete currently.

Sorry, didn't get what is the issue. If you want a snapshot of the pages (like in the other folder), you can open them and click on the heart icon to change the picture.

In French, the translation means "Use a prediction service in order to complete the research and the URLs written in the search bar". So, this is a very bad French translation, because this option clearly means "auto-complete" in French.

The issue is, I DON'T want ANYTHING at all in this... square, but there is always random web pages automatically filled in it, for no reason.
I never press the "heart" icon, and I don't want them to go here. I never put those web pages in it, never, so why are they here ? That's my issue.

that square is speed dial folder
if you didn't create it then probably sync is auto pulling them (you probably had them before
            do you have sync enabled?

Sync ? I'm not even connected to this, and I don't even have another device with Opera... 😕
It's just a bug. Where can I report it ? (or fix it by myself ?)

About the "auto-completion", is this really a "bad translation" thing ?

Right, and thats correct. The 'prediction' service is not auto-complete. Prediction is when you start typing a search in the address bar and it fills in the rest for you. Like, if you went to Google's website and started typing 'I hate when Voldemort' and Google fills in the rest. Thats prediction. Auto complete is when you type 'www.goo' in the address bar and Opera adds the 'gle.com' as you type. They are different things.

As for your speed dial folder just delete everything inside the folder and it will go away.

                  1. Your English is o'k.
                  2. Your translation is good.
                  3. Those squares might be your recent most visited pages or something. Like in Chrome - it's unavoidable to have those, but in Crome you can remove any one of them.

If the auto-complete switch does not work, you might consider filing a bug report. I guess... <_<

I don't really understand... for me, it's the same thing... But leocg said there is no option to disable auto-complete, now I'm sad.

I did it several times, the folder is still filling itself like magic everytime I go on a new website. (Only with new websites)

If the folder is still there then it still has stuff in it. If you delete its contents it simply goes away.

That option is related to search suggestions afaik.

If you remove the folder, does it returns later?

I'll try to delete it and wait to see if it appear again, and fill itself. Wait and see.

Again, if the folder is still there you have not emptied it. Empty speed dial folder disappear.

It seems that it doesn't fill itself with random website anymore. I've deleted the folder and it doesn't appear again. Thanks for your help 🙂

But I still think the auto-completion is a problem... 😞
Did the dev team say they will add an option to disable it in the future ? It's really annoying.

The Dev Team communicates via the Beta and Developer releases of Opera and the Dev Team blog. If it hasn't been mentioned on the blog and its not in the testing releases then there has been no official word on it.

Try looking through our Suggestion box here and add your suggestion to the appropriate thread. Unless you find it, you can start a new one, like "Disable Autocomplete Option" or something...
