Saving and restoring speed dial/ bookmark settings

I've been advised by the engineer from my current ISP that I should delete and re install Opera. I'd like to save these settings and put them onto the reinstalled version but cannot see how to do so.

Use synchronization. It allows you to share speed dials and bookmarks between installs of Opera.

Just for curiosity, what would be the reason for that?

Use synchronization

Or just backup the profile folder.
