What is it with small features Old Opera used to have?
- pressing shift opens in new tab. Pressing shift+ctrl open in background tab.
- you can't drag-select text in link anymore?
- etc
AFAIK, it's not engine problem, so why the New Opera still haven't got it after almost 15 major releases?

Just to be clear, the new Opera is not going to be the old Opera. While it shares a name its a completely different beast. So, these features that you see as being slow to return may simply never be added at all because they don't fit with the new direction Opera is taking. Remember, the old direction gave Opera a 1% market share for 20 years so now they are trying something different.
The dev team's philosophy isn't to do everything anymore but to focus on core features and let extensions do the rest. Previous extensions in Opera were basically shit, so a lot of veteran Opera users don't even think about checking them out. Things have shifted and that is a mistake.

Classic Tabs extensions. It can do what you want.

You can't do that in Chrome either so its not that big of a surprise. Click and dragging links now acts as a way to copy the link in the new version. You can still select the test you just can't click directly on the link to do it.

Thanks lando. This feature is so small i think it's like basic features. But if Opera thinks it should be on extension, well i can't do anything about it. Cheers.

from version 29, you can drag links with right mouse button (extra mouse gestures) or with extensions (LMB + txt)
