Opera 36 crashes when I open Settings

It's that simple. Last night Opera updated; now when I go to Menu/Settings it crashes.
I tried renaming my profile and cache folders (and my old Opera folders) as well as uninstalling and installing from a new download, but the same thing happens.
Opera 36.0.2130.32 on Windows 7 Pro 64-bit
Any advice welcomed!

We're looking into this problem. I'll let you know ones we'll figure out what is causing those crashes.

Indeed, Opera, since latest version, crashes frequently. Mostly, when trying to access the bookmarks.
And why can we not choose a upgrade of version. Opera now, without asking, downloads and installs new versions. -

Still happening in 37.0.2178.41 on Windows 7 64-bit.
This morning I also had to delete the Opera folder and reinstall; whatever was pinned to the Taskbar in versions before 37 wouldn't launch Opera after it (tried to?) update.

Hopefully someday you'll have at least a suggestion of what could be going wrong, but for now I've decided to switch to other browsers whose settings work.
It's been a long, fun trip since I paid for Opera 3.whatever.
Thanks and good luck!
