Hopefully someday you'll have at least a suggestion of what could be going wrong, but for now I've decided to switch to other browsers whose settings work.
It's been a long, fun trip since I paid for Opera 3.whatever.
Thanks and good luck!

Still happening in 37.0.2178.41 on Windows 7 64-bit.
This morning I also had to delete the Opera folder and reinstall; whatever was pinned to the Taskbar in versions before 37 wouldn't launch Opera after it (tried to?) update.
Good luck! Let me know if there's anything else that would be helpful.
If the destination application has a Paste Special or Paste Plain Text option, use that.
Otherwise, get something like PureText or paste your text into a text editor like Notepad and copy it back out to get text without formatting.
It's that simple. Last night Opera updated; now when I go to Menu/Settings it crashes.
I tried renaming my profile and cache folders (and my old Opera folders) as well as uninstalling and installing from a new download, but the same thing happens.
Opera 36.0.2130.32 on Windows 7 Pro 64-bit
Any advice welcomed!
