I have some questions:
-Is Opera 37 for Android going to have the native ad-blocking?
-Are there any plans bringing Opera Mini's "Night Mode + Reduce eye strain" to Opera for Android as well? Thanks in advance.
P.S. wow I still have this account here, all right. Feeling happy that Opera has fixed all those problems that infuriated me back in the day, keep up the good work in every product

I don't think that adblocking will work properly with Opera for Android. Besides, what is the compat scale with Opera Max? With some occasions Opera browser forward java and/or ad-block (not being enabled) capabilities too. Naturally will work better via VPN.

Why wouldn't it work, many android browsers have it, like UC Browser for example. Also go to Opera Mini's Settings you will find "Night mode" and "reduce eye strain" there

Good news, Opera plans to include integrated ad-blocking and VPN in the Android version.
PS. No ETA, plans can change.

Also, it seems that you posted in the wrong forum as your issue is with the Desktop version of Opera and not Android's one, what is the subject of this forum.

Today we released a minor update for Opera 36 which includes bug fixes for the tab gallery.
Update is already available in Google Play. Please try it and give us your feedback. Thank you!

Feedback is the following:
a) Speed up all the processes concerning the release of O37 with ad-blocking so that we don't have to wait 2 months for it. Nothing is more annoying than seeing endless ads covering all the screen space of a poor smartphone.
b) Add missing privacy options in the settings (or at least in the opera://flags):
- Use a prediction service to help complete searches and URLs typed in the address bar
- Predict network actions to improve page load performance
- Send a ‘Do Not Track’ request with your browsing traffic
It's crazy that Google Chrome for Android has those options and Opera who supposedly cares more about privacy does not.

I'm not sure if the bug fix release was supposed to fix the plain white tiles in the tab view but I still get them.

^^Same here. I wonder was it always like that or is it happening only with O36? Could be maybe related to some tab hibernation feature?

One big negative that has to be addressed as well is the inability of the browser to keep playing music through YouTube when being in the background (tab and app). For reference check Firefox.

Luckily you can still enable tabletui for tabs,
The developers need to know that a convenient tab switching is a must, the new tab animation makes switching slower and many of us open links in new tabs,Put that new tab switcher in desktop opera and i bet you wont get positive response,
Old opera had it right, small tab windows on the bottom, quick and convenient

Choosing download location to an external SD card is not working. Working fine in Opera Mini, together with setting it as default location. All in all the browser is missing a lot of stuff compared to Mini please accelerate your efforts!
