      Hi Guys,

How do I report a phishing website that I came across so that Opera will block it ?

I have tried to follow the guide below:
      http://help.opera.com/Windows/12.10/en/fraudprotection.html
But where it says click details, there is no 'Fraud and Malware Protection tab'.

      I also looked here:
      http://www.opera.com/help/tutorials/security/fraud/
and it mentions that Opera checks several blacklists. Which blacklists ?

IE, Chrome and Firefox are reporting the site in question as a possible phish after
I reported it to them, but Opera is happy to allow full access to the suspect URL.

In the interests of safety I will not publish the URL here, but will say it is clearly
part of a compromised wordpress site.

      Any help appreciated.

Both web pages you listed refer only to 'Presto' Opera versions 12.1x and below. Opera is currently at version 36, and has been based on an entirely different engine (Blink) from Presto since Opera version 15. Hence the instructions for Opera 12.1x and below won't work for higher versions. What version of Opera are you using?

So I guess version 36 as you say.

So even with this newer version, I can't find any way to report a phishing site.
Either through the help or using any intuition within the interface.

Is there no such mechanism ? am I missing something obvious ?

Opera has not had such a mechanism since version 12. They no longer maintain their own blacklist and use third party ones.

Not that they actually had their own list in 12.x either, I distinctly remember they used Phish Tank. But at least they did have a mechanism to report it.

Interestingly as at now I have the following:
                  1 - IE shows a warning
                  2 - Chrome shows a warning
                  3 - Firefox shows a warning
4 - Phishtank shows its a valid phish

... Opera ??? Nothing. Happy to let me hit the site with no warning.

So in the absence of any real warning I would stay clear of Opera as a browser. You're
highly likely to be more at risk of phish and malware sites.... since they don't warn.

                  Lift your game Opera.

Probably they are using Yandex now, as I know they partner on the malware warning.
