Speed Dials are not automatically populated, you need to check in "other speed dials".

There is an icon that looks like a square with a few little squares inside it. Click on it and you will be able to see ": Other Speed Dials".

Have you looked at "other speed dials"? There is nothing there?

The screenshot I started this discussion with, on the right side, "Sony Z3+" - it says "other speed dials" in Norwegian. It's the preferences you talk about, right? I first thought you mean something else, assuming you'd recognise the screen.

I just saw the screenshot now, it wasn't visible for in the last time.

It seems to me that your data wasn't synced. Do you had any bookmarks? They were synced?

Unfortunately, no bookmarks. I tried to delete the unit to force a new sync - to no avail.

What version of Opera is/was being used in the old phone?

Both phones run the same 35.0.2070-version. It appears that even pages visited/the cache has been synced. I can start writing URLs of pages I visit often and Opera will suggest specific sites that I haven't visited on my new phone. So there has been some activity.

I just tried the exact same thing one more time; nothing changed.

It worked!

With that, the issue is solved. I have no idea how though; it doesn't make sense.
