When I open up Yahoo and want to do a search, the search box at the top of the page is compressed and I cannot see what I type in the box. This has only recently started and it's not like that in any other browser. I am using version 12.17 with Windows 7.

It seems to be fine here.
Try clearing the site cookies (through Site Preferences) and your cache.

Thanks but that didn't help. I have three computers and I cleared the cookies and cache on all three computers but all three computers exhibit the exact same problem.

Opera 12.17 is a very old browser and as time goes by and the web changes, the incompatibilities and issues will increase.

Yeah, I realize that. But 34.0 sucks so I'll just ride out 12.17 as long as possible then switch to something else.

Had no such problem so far with 11.
