I used to be able to do a File/SaveAs of any web page, then using explorer sometime in the future be able to see what the page looked like when saved. This is hady when wanting to keep a record of some web payment, for example.

Now When I do a page/save as of a web page, then load that page from explorer, it looks like I am not getting the page I saved, but an updated page of the site. There used to be different options on the save as for how to save the page. I can only do a save as html, or something called webpage, html only. What's the diff?

I want to save this page, which I want to show for this current date some time in the future.

but first do a sort by column-monthly YTD and then do the save as. When I restore the page from explorer,it takes well over one minute of thrashing around and then I do not even get my saved page.
This should be simple, but has become way too complicated. Please fix

It may be that the page is referencing data from another address. Data that can't be saved to your computer. Does it work as you expect in other web browsers? Like Firefox or Chrome? If they can't do it either than that may be the case.

I went to Fireox and did the same download. When I went to explorer, dbl click brings up the old Opera 12.17, which also fails trying to load the page. This is not good.
Note:you can test this doing this too.

Try enabling the save as MHTML feature (what 12 called "web archive").

            chrome://flags/#save-page-as-mhtml

Copy the above, paste it into the address bar, and click the button, then restart Opera.

I did that and guess what-now all of my bookmarks are gone again!, extensions are gone. My Opera is now reset back to square one and I now have to start all over again. What more worthless bull shit do you have in mind for me.

If that crashed your bookmarks and extensions, there is more wrong with your installation than just that flag setting. It was the 'generic', universal chrome/chromium method to save a page as MHTML.
