How do you block websites Specifically

I've been using Opera for several years now and I've always liked the way the browser works. However, after recently updating to the 33.0 version I no longer see a way to block websites specifically. Is this still possible?

Could you recommend a few? or anyone who reads this? For me this is a problem I'm ready to uninstall Opera over.

At this point I'm just trying to block certain sites from coming up. A small selection have just started coming up whenever my browser is inactive for a certain period of time. I've deleted cookies, temp files, ran anti-virus and malware scans. Still come up after a short period of inactivity. So I'm just going to block the websites altogether. So I think I'd just like to block them in Opera, since it's the only browser I currently use.
That aside though I think taking out the ability to block websites altogether is a somewhat terrible idea, even if you can still do it through extensions.

Malwarebytes, SuperAntiSpyware and AdwCleaner are the current set of go-to tools we use for removing malware. Like Leocg said, if the pages are opening by themselves you have some kind of infection on your system.

If the pages are opening for no known reason then you may have got a malware. Run a malware scan like Malwarebytes and also an antivirus.
Did you read through my entire post -_-?
I use Kapersky anti-virus now after a long stint with Norton and a shorter stint with norton. I used to use adaware but that also dropped off in effectiveness. I'll try Malwarebytes and adwCleaner.

Norton is a virus scanner. A poor one. Kaspersky is similarly poor and only a virus scanner. Avast, AVG, McAfee, ESET, Panda, BitDefender, all weak, bloated, expensive and ineffectual. None of them is much use at all with real malware. Even worse, your symptoms may be caused by something you 'legitimately' installed, bypassing the usefulness of your scanners completely. Toolbars, 'helpers', search 'enhancers', weather/coupon/deal trackers, theres a whole mess of them. Any one of which could be the cause of your problem.
Malware, spyware, adware, viruses, these are all different things and they require difference programs to identify and remove them. Saying you have 'Kaspersky and that should handle it' is like saying 'I have a headache so I'll go see my podiatrist about it.' Just because you have a hammer does not mean every problem is a nail.
Even if you have a program that can handle such infections they are often not all encompassing. The reason we use 3 scanners JUST for malware/adware is because these three put together catch MOST of the infections. They all have strengths and weaknesses, infections they are effective against and infections they miss completely. We have 4 others we use for viruses/trojans/worms. God forbid you get something like Cryptowall. I don't think theirs a single program on the market that can help you after the fact. Just wipe your machine's hard drive and hope it didn't infect your backups (off site backups for the win).
