Strange activity on my express panel

Hi someone from Opera support.
After every restart of Opera I find strange websites on my express panel. Every single time you, guys, add something like aliexpress or other websites on it. Why should I remove it every f**n' time? Mind your own business! Did Opera completely turned into a product which annoies customers with ads like that?! If so, shame on you, guys, and I get out of Opera browser!

I got something for nothing that did nothing to invade my privacy but was a way for the company to make money and I'm going to try to use shame as a method to make you do what I want.
Now, unless you have something wrong with your computer (which is not the fault of Opera), you're overreacting.
Anyhow... Yup... That's what I've read from your post. I can confirm that those tiles do nothing - not a darned thing. I've opened and run Wireshark while it's running. There are no packets escaping into the wild where they don't belong. I know, I know, it's so hard to ignore or so hard to delete them.
Would you rather pay for Opera like I used to? I can tell you, with 100% certainty, that I've checked for data leakage that shouldn't be there and I've yet to find a single stray packet. I've done this on a live system and in a virtual machine. Not... One... Packet... It's a static page that doesn't even have the capacity to harm you - and you can easily delete them. They've got to make money because you're not willing to pay them.
Software developers have to eat too.
Also, to be VERY clear, I am not (by any stretch of the imagination) one of the developers or a member of the team. I'm just a very happy Opera user and have been since the days of yore when we actually did have to pay for it. It was worth it then and it's worth it now. You might be seeing an icon you don't like but it's not spying on you and there's no reason for them to be ashamed.

Unless there is something wrong with your setup they should only reappear when Opera is updated. If for some reason Opera is unable to write its favorites file then of course you won't be able to permanently add or delete anything - sites you added will disappear on restart, and sites you removed will be restored.
