Adding links to Speed Dial was changed for the worse

Up until recently I could click on a link in my bookmarks, on the second icon from the top-right (Add To Speed Dial), to add it to Speed Dial. Sometime in the recent past that changed. I just built a new PC and that button is now history (on 32.0.1948.44, W-7 64-bit). Besides the Add button on Speed Dial which I don't like because of how the links look, how do I add links to Speed Dial now?

Well, the links look much better than they used to, but now I must bring the webpage up and then add it to Speed Dial. Sorry, that's not an improvement. Not to mention the fact that my older PCs still have the Add To Speed Dial button (I just checked), so there is a distinct difference between systems which have been updated to the current version and ones freshly built with the current version. Bad software, bad.

The Speed Dial is now a Folder in the Bookmarks Manager. So (assuming you're talking about items that you already have bookmarked) in the Bookmarks Manager you can just Drag and Drop (or Copy and Paste) items into the Speed Dial folder to add them to the Speed Dial.

Well, before when adding a link to Speed Dial (via the heart icon) it also added a link to the bookmarks. Quite a few people, myself included, didn't like this behaviour and asked for it to be changed. The Speed Dial icon is still there but in the dropdown menu. It's now easier to customise the image too.

There are four icons on each bookmark, from left to right at the top: check mark, pen, eight dots, and X. The eight dots are the same ones shown next to Speed Dial at the bottom of the page (I tried to represent them here, but this forum does not understand WYSIWYG). If those eight dots are a heart then I'm Kim Kardashian. And on my PC, no additional links are added anywhere except for Speed Dial, which was the whole point.

You mean, on the folder of the bookmark I want to copy to Speed Dial, I click and hold the mouse and drag it to the Speed Dial icon at the bottom of the page and then release the mouse button? All that does is move the bookmark to the end of the list.
Never mind, clearly I have a different way of thinking than the Opera community. I'll just use Opera as a way to view suspicious webpages without using Javascript or other security vulnerabilities.
