Opera wont start after first install

I am trying to install Opera onto my system for the first time (not upgrade from a previous install) and during the install process a text file shows up on my desktop titled 'debug'. These are the exact contents of that file:
[0225/075547:FATAL:launcher.cc(324)] Failed running Opera.exe
I have installed this same version of the software on two other systems without any issues (27.0.1.689.76).

Possible, but Ive never heard of an anti virus program or something similar preventing a web browser from running. I have McAfee installed if it makes a difference.
I tried searching for that error code, but was unable to find anything.

McAfee is notorious for this. Norton too. If they thing a program is really malicious they will delete it out from under you without even confirming first. Them blocking an installer is nothing new. Disable it for a few minutes while you install and see if that helps.
