Saving backup

I am going to reinstall win10 and want to configure Opera exactly as is now after the installation. Is there a way to save my current configuration; it would be a pain to have to write all the urls down and set-up my Opera start screen again.

Just copy the profile folder, everything is store in there. Its location can be found on the About page for Opera.

There's no folder called "profile" at the path mentioned on the About page. I copied everything on the folder listed in the profile at About Opera, but there doesn't seem to be anything of value.

And nobody said there should be one. The folder mentioned in the about page is the profile folder, which is the fodler where Opera store its info like history, bookmarks, passwords, etc.
but there doesn't seem to be anything of value.
It should contains your settings data so you will not need to set up everything again.
