Ever since Opera moved to the Chrome engine, closing or moving to another tab will introduce a white flicker that goes on about 1/4 of a second. This annoyance has been putting me off from really recommending this browser.

Anyone else noticed this? Can this be fixed?

      Thanks!

Edit: This doesn't happen on every close, but on certain websites that I frequent. E.g. www.steamgifts.com when closing/opening tabs quickly in a row.

I'm not noticing anything. Is your video card not very good? Or maybe the pages are loading slowly due to slower internet speeds so you only see the white background of the page for a second?

It's an integrated graphics card. Intel HD 4600. I rarely notice the flicker when I'm using my other PC which is using a dedicated graphics card.

Though, this doesn't happen when I'm using Firefox.

There are lots of reports about this is issue but i've almost never seen it, at least not in a frequency high enough to consider it something significant.

Btw, i have a Intel HD Graphics 4600 here too.

Disabling hardware acceleration seems to fix it for me. Not sure if it's due to my drivers. I'm using a T540 right now with its latest graphics driver.
