Sync extensions

So what does that sync button (top right under the windows close button) do? Now Im really confused.
With Opera 29 - which may be released as a stable version soon - it syncs bookmarks, speed dials and opened tabs.
Opera 30 (now in developer stream) syncs all of the above plus history and settings.

I'm on Opera 31 and it doesn't appear that my extensions are being synced. Am I missing something?

Opera does not sync extensions. The guy who started this thread misread the documentation or something.

Opera does not sync speed dials either.

It does, it just doesn't unify them yet. You can see other speed dials from all of your installs. Unified speed dials is coming though, iirc.

Its not synchronization. If you cant synchronize stuff between 2 or more devices its not synchronization but only backup.
But if its working can you tell me how to do it? I cant sync speed dial between devices. Manual copy-paste is not synchronization! -

Inside the Bookmarks Manager is the entry Other Speed Dials. That is where your synchronized speed dials appear.

You are doing a perfectly good job making yourself look like a fool without my help. As I said there is not yet unified speed dials in Opera. If you can see speed dials in one browser that were created in another, that is sync. You can do that in Opera. Therefor Opera has sync. Its basic and unfinished but there it is.

Its not synchronizatiuon so dont say that Opera have speed dial synchronization. If you upload files to share servers its not synchronization same as this is not synchronization. Its just uploading speed dial as bookmarks but You cant synchronize them to other devices as speed dial - so no speed dial synchronization (just backup as bookmarks).
You just cant say: "Yes Opera dont implement speed dial synchronization yet" You have to say: "It has synchronization of speed dial but its not unified yet bla bla bla" - in other words its not working. Its so hard to say that?

You can try and change the meaning of the word synchronization all you want but the fact remains that that redefinition only applies inside your own head. To the rest of us Opera has synchronization. If you don't like that why don't you take your constant whining and nitpicking and just leave.

Ok can you explan us what synchronization is then?
You should get yourself checked out by a doctor. You seem to have the inability to retain information, even if it was explained to you just a handful of hours before. But, just for a refresher, I will quote my post from yesterday for you.
If you can see speed dials in one browser that were created in another, that is sync.

I am a field PC Tech and looking at moving from Firefox's slow browser to Opera. I have been testing it out on 10 personal PC's before attempting a rollout to hundreds of PC's. However, when I use the sync feature, the 2 things I need to sync most are Extensions and Speed Dials, and that is not happening. It is very frustrating because there is no way I can manually configure hundreds of PC's - otherwise we stick with FireFox.
Does anyone know of a way to sync these? Or at least the Extensions? The Speed Dials can be overlooked if need be, and set up as Bookmarks (but with the Speed Dial feature staring you in the face every time you open Opera, telling all the employees that they have to set them up manually is a nightmare - after all it is 2016).
I would like to give Opera a shot, but the incomplete sync experience is a deal breaker.
Thanks.

Here you may find the info to back up the extensions data, then using a sync service or a batch file you may send them to the PCs (100 or more).
You may create a default profile too, event for different departments.Create many profiles, mostly since step # 3, but read whole post may be needed to understand what it's doing.
PS: Change in Opera installation folder > installer_prefs:
"singleprofile":False to "singleprofile":True
Maybe need it
