Java not works on 30.0.1835.18 build. Tested on several Java versions (7.55 and 8.42) on two computers with windows 7 Pro and Ult. After rollback to 29.0.1795.41 build, all works without any additional changes.

New build for the Opera beta - 30.0.1835.26, the change log, and the announcement 😉

"This update is mostly focused on fixing AU problems on Windows XP.
And, we’ve also turned off MSE for now as it has caused crashes of renderer when watching HTML5 videos.

On the Mac side we’ve fixed the issue with freezing NPAPI videos in Full Screen mode."

The Recently Closed wasn't where it was as always in the OPERA Menu

Hi @andgz: if you want, you can bring back the "Recent Tabs" in the Opera's menu: go to the opera:flags#tab-menu-with-recent-tabs, select "Disabled" from the drop-down, and restart the Opera  😉

Java plugin doesn't work in 30.0.1835.26 and the Verify Java Version page shows the error for Google Chrome. Is this plugin disabled by default? It doesn't matter that npapi is enabled.

Neither do I!(on the Java installed)

Adobe Flash PPAPI 17.0.0.188 ,Adblock and Internet Download Manager 6.23 Build 12 is what I got for Addons.
                    Windows 8.1 Pro x64
Maybe a mismatch with Adblock, but I went back to 29 stable and all shows well there.
                    Thanx for the feedback.

Is there anyway to get a dropdown list of addresses typed on the address bar like Opera 12 ?

The Opera 30 has been promoted to the stable channel: 30.0.1835.52, the change log, and the announcement** 😉

"Opera 30 brings you better tab management, multitasking with sidebar extensions, more careful ways of removing or restoring your bookmarks.

                                  Switch between tabs faster

If you research online – for example, I’ve been reading about one of the latest product in our portfolio – VPN service SurfEasy, you may find yourself in a situation where you have a dozen or so tabs open that you need to switch between. Now, you can cycle through tabs even faster. Opera 30 switches tabs in chronological order and, using tab previews, creates a great, visual tab cycler. So, you can finish your tasks faster with less key strokes.

Customize even more with sidebar extensions

Multitasking is not always an efficient habit, especially if you want to accomplish more in less time. However, sometimes you need to compare results or see something in context to squeeze more information out of what you’re doing. That’s why Opera 30 includes sidebar extensions. These little add-ons have the full flexibility of extensions but get more space to be effective. Write notes, tweet on the go, or get a dedicated media player. Give them a try and tell us what works for you the best.

Restore bookmarks or delete them permanently with the trash folder

We do like reading comments on this blog and even answer a few of them. 😉 Quite often you give us very exact bug reports or ideas to improve the product. So, I bookmark links to the comments and revisit them when release fever has calmed down. When ideas are logged and bugs are submitted, I start to remove these bookmarks. But now, I don’t need to worry if I remove something I may need. Opera 30’s trash folder lets me restore anything I might accidentally remove."

                                  ☕ \m/

For me, there's no update in Linux Mint. When I run sudo apt-get update and sudo apt-get install opera-stable, I get: opera-stable is already the newest version.

Hi @gustavwiz, if you don't want to wait, you can download the Opera 30.0.1835.52 64-bit from here, and manually update it from the terminal window, as follows: sudo dpkg -i opera-stable_30.0.1835.52_amd64.deb.
