i was long years in the official my.opera forum where everything was thematically sorted and you knew where to look for answers, where searchwords came up with too much results.
here its only one big chunk of bloglike answers. who came up wiith this idea??also is there a copy of the old forum somewhere, where one can look up old answers?
really bad mistake to just delete it from the internet. -

Opera ran the servers that hosted the MyOpera forums, and those went away over a year ago. I have no knowledge that copies of the MyOpera forums were preserved intact, though some of the MyOpera user threads were moved to these forums over a several-month period last year... so some sourcing mechanism must have existed for them at that time. Certainly, the user blogs were all dumped.
There's always the Internet Archive (aka Wayback Machine): https://archive.org/web/
I believe that at one point, several Olde Opera refugees copied all the MyOpera forum pages into some zip or rar files that they posted online... but I've since lost the trail to them. Otherwise, @Pesala created some reference material at: http://www.softerviews.org/Opera.html ; Hallvord created another page here: http://www.hallvord.com/opera/opera5faq.htm ; and finally, there's Wilton-Jones's http://www.howtocreate.co.uk/operaStuff/
However, the sad reality is that any of these remaining resources may disappear without warning, life's uncertainties being what they are.
