ny e-mail disappears after about a week. Where did they all go? I don't want it to disappear ever. I want to be in charge of deleting.
This is in my very new computer, with Opera 12.16 and Windows 8. Before I had Opera 12, and Windows XP.

Go to 'Mail and chat accounts...', then select an account and click the 'Edit' button, go to the 'Incoming' tab and make sure 'Leave messages on server' is ticked, if it is not, then tick it and click 'OK'.

EVERYTHING disappeared before November 27, even trash!
The Incoming window does not give me the option to leave messages on server. I took a screen shot but don't know how to attach it.
But my last computer didn't have that option either; yet, no e-mails ever disappeared. Occasuinally I would keep one or another for months.

Opera Mail has a option to show only messages from a certain period of time, maybe you changed it by chance?

You need to host the image file somewhere and post the link using the format
![](http://serverhost/image.ext)

I can't open that .ext file. Would that enable me to instruct the server to leave the messages forever?
If so, I'll download one of those conversion programs. Can you recommend a safe one?

You've noticed that it is just an example of the sybtax of the "command" to put a screenshot here in the forums, right?
Would that enable me to instruct the server to leave the messages forever?
Nope, they aren't related. I don't remember now how exactly you change it but try right click on mail panel and look for something like "show messaages from..."
Btw, the messages are disappearing only from the email client or from the server too?
