Please, I need help in making multiple profiles. I found an instruction here, but it just doesn't match. There's no .ini files anywhere.

If that is not possible, what are other ways to make multiple profiles?

      Here's my details:
      -Platform: Win 7 32bit
      -Browser Ver: 27.0.1689.69

I would really appreciate any help. Thanks~

Off the top of my head you need to make a different profile folder for each profile you want and use a command line switch to direct Opera to the proper profile. I don't remember the exact commands but that should get you started.

Or you could make two different stand alone installations of Opera and just use different icons to launch them.

          Thanks lando242.

          I prefer the first option.

There are already multiple copies of Opera Stable created under
          C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Opera Software

Kinda stuck on launching them. Tried to configure the Target and Start in fields, but it just won't work.

Is there a way to create multiple profiles via its GUI?

Create a shortcut to launcher.exe and on the target field add --user-data-dir just after the path to the exe file.

It should be sometyhing like "x:\path-to-opera-install-folder\launcher.exe" --user-data-dir="path-to-profile-folder"

                        @leocg one more help, please.

Only one Opera can be put to Quick Launch [either in Start Menu or Task Bar]. How to put those multiple profiles shortcuts to Quick Launch?

                        Thanks in advance~

Sorry, i don't know. Have you tried right click on the icon and then on "pin to taskbar" (or something like this, my Windows is not in english)?

If it doesn't work, i'm afraid you probably may need to use the desktop for now.

                            Thanks for being helpful @leocg

Yes, tried that. On first instance, let's call it Opera1, it was successful. Then on Opera2, it isn't, instead it says Unpin from Taskbar. It read the Opera1 as they are both using one .exe

I'll stick to the desktop option, rather than install multiple copies of the program.

                            Thanks again ๐Ÿ™‚

For a second pinned option, try doing a shortcut to a shortcut to the opera launch file.

Or right click on the Taskbar > Toolbars > Quick launch
