How to downgrade Opera without losing current profile?

After Opera got upgraded itself up to v27, I uninstalled it through regular uninstaller. Then installed v26 from full (offline) installer downloaded from opera.com. But, unfortunately, Opera failed to start claiming that my current profile "was created by the newer version" and asked me to "specify a new profile directory". So I have to stick with v27 which I don't like.
- Is it possible to downgrade keeping current profile (and all its settings) at all?
- In the Opera help pages I didn't manage to find any notion of 'profile manager', that is how to:
- create a new profile;
- specify a new one;
- import settings from the old profile to the new one etc.

Besides history, passwords, session cookies and all that stuff, I've got a set of pretty much useful addons, such as: TabHamster (for keeping and grouping sessions), SmartRSS (RSS reader), uBlock etc. Migrating their data to a new profile would be a real PITA.
Anyway, a user should be able to downgrade by simple means. I guess it's a matter of editing some field in some profile DB. Would be nice to know which exactly.
