Reloading Webpages

Hi - newbie here. I'm new to Opera and there are a couple of things I'm not understanding.
Why do tabs hardly ever load unless clicked on a few times and using F5 key? Why is there no 'RELOAD' option in the tab menu or am I missing something?

Using Opera 26 on Windows 8.1

Did you change any of the options?

Click the Opera menu and look near the bottom. Is Opera Turbo enabled? If so, turn it off. Thats onyl for use when you have a data cap you have to worry about and wont speed up your browsing.
