I am not getting any answer that work to fix my problems with opera

Hi,
My Opera work just fine until the new bookmarks arrived with no asking if I even wanted to change, and no way to keep old way that worked.
NOW I cant export my book marks, just get a NULL folder and html with zilch in it.
The instructions to backup eg bookmarks.bk is not visible on my Win7 cant even find it in search. so cant do that to uninstall and reinstall.
Also keep getting message similar to Shockwave is slowing down your PC do you want to stop it...... great..
Really dont understand why things are changed for no good reason, and dont understand why there is no one to answer the questions from OPERA, I would like to save my book marks and just get rid of opera as it is slowing my pc down now and is now longer the best and fastest browser on the market.
Pity cause it was great
