Is there a way to sort bookmark recursively?

I've been using Opera for years, and have accumulated a large number of bookmarks, organized the way I like them, in folders & sub-folders. The old Opera allowed me to sort 7 different ways with a simple click. The "new & improved" Opera doesn't seem that simple. Each level defaults to tiles, and are in no particular order. Is there a way to sort all bookmarks & folders alphabetically & default to list view? (Using Version: 25.0.1614.68)
Thanks, -

I'm wondering the same thing. The faves/bookmarks/speed dials are now in a set of simpleSQL databases, a couple of guys have figured out to minimally manipulate them but it's not supported.

I'm figuring out a way to make an independent, on-system "bookmarker" - a folder on your file system: you save pages into it in an appropriate way ("Ctrl S" instead of "Ctrl D"), there you can apply your system's sorting tools, then in the browser, instead of bookmarks-schookmarks, you use the "Open" command (the browser shall remember the folder's location, so this one won't be a problem) - "Ctrl O"

Hi @mtg42, @kuhlmanck: For that purpose, you can try: the "Recursive Bookmark Sorter", or the "SuperSorter" - to be able to install one of them in the Opera, you need first install: the "Extension source viewer", or the "Download Chrome Extension", that allow you to install extensions from the Chrome Web Store.

Thank you! "Recursive Bookmark Sorter" & "Download Chrome Extension" worked. The only quirk I noticed (so far) is that it placed the Opera default folders (Reading List, Shopping, Travel & Videos) first, even though that is out of sort order.
