Let me start off easy; I've just created an account. So, first I'd like to say I thank you for OperaMail.

Actually, let me get right to the point (although I like OperaMail and am grateful and content).. so I'd like to ask the forum moderator, is it OK to ask for or suggest a Donate button on opera.com? That's a clear question, and I don't think anybody else has asked for this, on this forum.
Yours,

Good point. Thank you leocg. And, I don't want to finance the stock exchange, erm, earners. Good to know. Still a thank you, for the technology. I guess I have to thank the traders for that, caring so much about this great gift. (ie ICT. That just about summs it up.)
I guess I'm an investor who cares! Thank you for correcting me leocg, even if you're not correct, this should be cleared up first.
I was a little careful about asking for a donate button, because last time I got kicked out really fast for probably reading like a spam offer. My username was creatively 'basnot', I might add. Might explain also why my email wasn't answered which I sent to a chief spokes(wo)man.
Just my penny's worth. Still, I hope my future question will be treated (about mod. the cust. OperaMail), but I think the moderators are really nice and just.

Since I'm in the Lounge section, perhaps I can post to the moderators if they would like this page with template snippets:
http://huizen.deds.nl/~frans-visser/map/column breedtes, cellen en tekens.htmlI know this post will first be held because of the link, to check for bad habits and protect opera.com's health, rightly so, but even then, I respect the decision if the link is removed (I could modify its contents, and you can't keep track of everything), so, if you like to duplicate it and/or modify it, help yourself and be my guest. Your account (@moderator) can be trusted. (With a link to your own server such as Deds.)
I think it's useful.

OK leocg, you have a moderator badge, I've just seen it and didn't know, (I did check but I assumed not because I didn't read it,) so obviously you are one as well.
I noticed that a Onedrive link and a link such as the above are treated differently, the Onedrive being held back to check for contents and approval, but obviously indeed links are posted very regularly all the time, and are generally accepted right away. And perhaps removed later on by you or the other moderators for a good reason.
Anyway, I'll note that the above post (with the deds.nl link) is allowed without intervention at time of posting, but perhaps removed afterwards. I say this because it reads like it's approved.. I guess I have spammer potential (or just am a Wiseguy
OK, I hope you like the snippets template. It makes for excellent reading from someone who can write nice messages or post great stories though the email.

If they are forum templates, i don't think they will be allowed here. Also the mods aren't the ones who decide it.

The column widths would be useful for creating columns such as the ones in newspapers. They were originally created for someone who's used to a typewriter, where you press enter at the end of the line on the right, resulting in short paragraphs which lookes like this, if the viewport is narrowed for any reason:
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit, sed
do eiusmod tempor
incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua. Ut enim ad
minim veniam, quis
nostrud exercitation ullamco laboris nisi ut aliquip ex ea
commodo consequat.
Duis aute irure dolor in reprehenderit in voluptate velit
esse cillum dolore eu
fugiat nulla pariatur. Excepteur sint occaecat cupidatat non
proident, sunt in
culpa qui officia deserunt mollit anim id est laborum.(Without the <p> tag in this case, which makes it worse, adding space between every two lines.)
Also, the column templates allows for comfortable reading in my opinion. But that's for the sender to decide perhaps.
I think the block snippet below that is useful too, to use for anything but passwords, when spelling is important. (An IBAN number for example, or an email address via email.)
Also, you say the mods aren't the ones who decide if my post is appropriate or allowed, that's new to me. But alright, in any case it's not me, unless I can convince otherwise of course, by that same post, and perhaps this post. (Perhaps it is that the decisions are already made in the rules.)
Ay, I misread you, they're not forum templates.. they are for email, and are tested also on MS Live Mail, which didn't support the 'max-width' css tag, resulting in extending the lines even beyond the viewport; the complete paragraph in one line. Anyway, this one works as columns (for creating and reading emails), and is compressable if the viewport is narrowed, working like a 'max-width' column in the same way this forum works left and right, fitting the posts nicely between the window borders.

which lookes like this
I didn't look at the Preview mode well enough to spot that, well, the problem was nicely solved, to put it that way. I'll explain. First, the result look that I intended in my previous post (with consulting the Markdown link, and using the <br> tag; space didn't work):
♪ note: it looked like this when my viewport narrowed up to the word 'sed', the same result, for example if the email is zoomed in.
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit, sed
do eiusmod tempor
incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua. Ut enim ad
minim veniam, quis
nostrud exercitation ullamco laboris nisi ut aliquip ex ea
commodo consequat.
Duis aute irure dolor in reprehenderit in voluptate velit
esse cillum dolore eu
fugiat nulla pariatur. Excepteur sint occaecat cupidatat non
proident, sunt in
culpa qui officia deserunt mollit anim id est laborum.
This is the result when email senders is writing emails like on a typewriter, using the enter key at the end of the line, the first one after the word 'tempor' in this example. But.. it occured to me that this forum fixes this automatically, I even had to force this look to look like this.
So, this example was the reason I created the column snippets (for email), but such a feature that automatically removes the newline key (which this forum has), would be nice to be standard included in the email programme; I don't have to tell people not to use the enter key but just type on, editing, adding changing and removing words. (But I'll stop here, I've made my point at my best effort. Although I have to say, my attempts to convince an aquaintance via, to perhaps use my column snippet, hasn't stopped him from reading like the above example. But I have my snippet available on my local harddrive, and well, he's allowed and free to use the enter key.)
Let me check on Preview. OK. (Great rewrap feature..)
