There is nothing to cut and paste, you have to type it via the keyboard, and you will not see any visual feedback until you have entered it all correctly. You have to remember to make sure that any text areas that can receive input are not selected before typing the konami code.

You will know when you have entered it correctly, because a large box will appear in the centre of your screen.

Hi @groingo, just follow the below steps:

        1. Go to Settings (Alt+P), click on the free space on the page somewhere outside the search field, enter the Konami code: up up down down left right left right b a,

        2. After that, the warning window should appear (Power user settings), click the "I understand, proceed" button, and scroll to the bottom of the page, tick the checkbox on the left of the "Always show power user settings" option,

        3. Go to the "Start Page" section, and tick the checkbox on the left of the "Hide the search box in Speed Dial" 😉

I got it to work and did get rid of the Speed Dial search box but there are only three things its has added in settings.

          Delay initial tab preview
          Hide search box
          Always show power settings

I was hoping to be able to scale down the Speed Dial boxes too and in fact it showed it in a previous post just above by linuxmint7.

While viewing the Speed Dial page, go to the menu and click the zoom out (left hand) button of the zoom options, this will zoom out the Speed Dial page and scale down the Speed Dial boxes. Zooming in, with the right hand zoom button will zoom in the Speed Dial page and increase the size of the Speed Dial boxes. Play around with those two buttons until you reach a view you are happy with, and your chosen view will automatically be saved for the next time you open Opera.

Works good but never did it before because I figured it would shrink all other sites as well, just another hidden gem from Opera.....thanks, now all is right with the browser....no more gripes.

Wow, tab menu is awesome, with my 50-100 tabs this is must have. U use both chrome and Opera, but Opera is getting ahead. Not loading tabs at the start and now tab menu, great work.

New update - Opera beta 27.0.1689.33, the change log, and the announcement 😉

Any way to remove this from the old Start Page?

I also have my speed dial set up the way I want it, so is there a way to remove the "new speed dial" button?

                            You can't remove both.

Hi @t-flip, go to the address bar and type opera:flags#experimental-start-page, press enter, select "Disabled" from the drop-down, and restart the Opera 😉

New, small, but significant update for the Opera beta 27.0.1689.44, the change log, and the official announcement 😉

"There are couple of things worth mentioning for this build, let’s start with Chromium updates. Over the time of the holiday break two of them were pushed to Opera beta, and currently we are using 40.0.2214.69 version.

Our developers also fixed annoying bug that was happening on Facebook for our users using various IMEs – you should now be able to input characters without any problems. Crash fixes and other improvements are listed, as always, in our changelog."

                                  ☕ \m/

The name of speed dial entry does not disappear after moving the cursor over it.

                                          Strange, here it disappears.
