Any way to sort bookmarks in Opera 25?

Well you could export and then import using my extension,
but that will basically sort whatever is in each bookmark folder
so if you don't have things in folders it might not work well.

Also, they will end up in imported bookmarks, and like I said the names
will be sorted a-z inside folders,- it also won't delete existing ones
so try it first before removing your bookmark file from your system.

If you use the bookmarks menu under the Opera button top left, there is a "sort alphabetically" option on the right click on the folders.
It's not particularly intuitive IMO as it should be available in the bookmark manager pages.

Thank you so much Dave. I'm just trying out Opera 25 as I've been waiting for bookmarks to be reinstated before upgrading from 12.17 which is not working too well these days on some of the sites I visit. I was stumped as to how to put them into alphabetical order until I read your post. Thanks again.

I was quite surprised that installing Opera 25 did not overwrite Opera 12.17 so now I have both, which I wasn't expecting. I would have done it sooner if I'd known!

Thank you, Escape75, I have now been able to downlaod my bookmarks with the the addon you mentions, and it has a list of books, THANK YOU, THANK YOU

THANK YOU very much, I have now been able to export my books marks to a html file, pity the programmers couldnt do this in v 25, what a load of wasted time, . APPRECIATE that someone knows what they are doing and are a help .. Blessings

You can recursively sort all bookmarks with an extension like Recursive Bookmark Sorter. You will need to first install Download Chrome Extension to install it.

Popup my Bookmarks might be another option for people who want a more classic style bookmark manager and sorting options.
