Can two Opera 12.17 installs (32 bit & 64 bit) share the same profile?

What it says in the subject line really.
Does anyone run in this configuration?
I have just installed a 64 bit OS alongside my existing 32 bit OS as dual boot.
I have Opera 12.17 as my main browser on the 32 bit system, and I'd like to use it on the 64 bit system too.
I could just use the 32 bit installation on both of course, but I wondered if I installed the 64 bit version of 12.17 on the 64 bit OS, and then pointed all the profile paths to the 32 bit installation's profile folder, would it work?
The 32 bit install is set for a single user with all the files in one folder, i.e. nothing stored in Windows user folders.
On the face of it I can't see why not, but wondered if anyone could confirm one way or the other before I just "try it and see"!
      🙂

If you are using two systems, there is no problem.

          I think so.

Do a backup of the profile folders, change the profile folder's path in one of the installs and test it. If something goes wrong, just return to the original profile folder.

Thanks guys, that sounds very positive!
I'll try this out tomorrow and let you know how it goes.
            Cheers, Dave.
