After all that work suping up my opera 12.17, now I got an upgrade notice. I chose remind me later but its gonna come back. So is it really gonna give me a choice to keep my 12x opera or I am gonna have to be forced to use 25. Seems like opera is overriding my no upgrade settings. I feel some panic setting in, how can I avoid this upgrade, I need to keep 12x at all cost, please help

Opera 25 (the current stable version) does not remove Opera 12 - I still have both on this computer. You can choose to disable the upgrade check in 12 if you wish, of course.

Thanks. This is done in the preferences editor internal pages? I am sure I did it before and it was working until now.

Preferences > Advanced > Security, the Auto-update dropdown.

It's at the bottom of the 'Security' dialog/window. It has drop down options when you click it.
