Pop-up blocker isn't working

anyone else experiencing it? I've been using Opera since forever, and only now decided to change from Opera 12 to Opera 24, and I immediately noticed this: no pop-ups are block. every ad, every pop-up which was blocked in Opera 12 (small dialog on the bottom right on the screen announced when unwanted pop-up was blocked), now - everything goes. what's wrong? what do I have to do? I checked settings, "Do not allow any site to show pop-ups (recommended)" is ticked. so why's that happening anyways?

I'm not facing such issue here. Pop-ups can show up sometimes but this is not very often.

How are the pop-ups showing up? Just loading a page makes them appear or you need to do something (click on a link, etc)?
