A long long time ago, I opted for Opera. It was fast, innovative, and it had a great deal of configuration features.
I stayed with Opera during the extremely annoying "crash when being started" bug at 12.13. Until now.

Now, in the course of wanting to fix security bugs with SSLv3 (Poodle), I find that Opera settings do not even provide a kindergarten-level choice of https methods (TLS1, 1.1, 1.2, SSL). What has happened here? I remember that this option did in fact exist not too long ago. On closer inspection, I have found that Opera is in want of the vast majority of features the major browsers provide - it simply prevents customising.

Is there any way to set those options?

rigtclick the opera-link on your desktop, click on properties and in the target-field add --ssl-version-min=tls1 after ...launcher.exe". now click ok and when you start opera with this link, the poodle is gone.
