Opera 25 Bold Fonts

Hey guys!

I just updated to Opera 25 and a lot of the websites that I visit (including this one) are now rendered with bold fonts.

Is this a bug or just a setting that I need to reconfigure?

I think your problem is a minor one. Look how my pages look like.

Looks like this is related to some specific fonts that are installed on out PCs, as this isn't universal bug.

Try disabling directwrite on opera:flags.

Not that I have tried it yet, but if it's going to have Font and / or Text Attribute problems for most users, why was it released in the first place? It sounds like it's not ready. We shouldn't have to be making under the hood changes just because they fix the problem.

Try disabling directwrite on opera:flags.

For me enabling DirectWrite helped.

DirectWrite IS the culprit I enabled it to test this thread & yea it's DirectWrite... it should be disabled by default or they should change its name to something resembling the word "bold"
