        If you mean Opera (Blink) version 15-24+ based on the Chromium engine, then no, the ability to use 'Skins' has not been included in the new version of Opera. Opera (Presto) 12.17 was the last version to support classic 'Skins'.

          That's really sad. So many good functions gone.

            And so many good things added -- speed Dial, Stash, Discover, access to all of the Chrome extensions and more...

              Speed Dial was in Presto since the Napoleon wars.

                @joshi,

                Come on, it's not the same Speed Dial in Opera Presto as in Opera Blink.. It's a quantum leap better in Opera Blink. It's like, to make a Star Trek analogy, moving to Warp Drive with Opera Blink.You can create folders for each Speed Dial position. The Speed Dial in Opera Presto is dated, and every other browser has something equal or better. The Opera Blink speed dial is state of the art and absolutely wonderful.

                  Light years ahead would of been if Opera had of used the same file-format for Bookmarks/SpeedDial/Stash, and

                  1. provided Bookmarks/SpeedDial/Stash VIEWS for your various "shortcuts".

                  2. Allowed for Multiple Stashes/SpeedDials/Bookmark-Roots.

                  As is, it's just the Opera12 SpeedDial with sub-folders and no customization options. When you add one feature and remove numerous other features that isn't "light years ahead", it's called a regression.

                  At least we have crippled Bookmarks now (no context menu, multi-select, tags, shortcuts, descriptions). Of course every time you open a bookmark sub-folder for the first time it defaults to 128x128px "icon" mode -- cuz that's useful.

                  Access to chrome extensions is hardly a bonus, it's a necessity... without extensions Opera-Blink would be useless. Opera 5 thru 12 on the otherhand...

                    Ha!. You don't need multiple Stashes, Speed Dials . . . As it is you can create folders with tons of items, and have a near infinite number of folders in the Opera 24 Speed Dial. I can display more than 1000 items-landmarks if I want to, in my speed dial. As it is, I emphasize the aesthetics of the super wallpaper you can use, and keep my speed dial items much more modest. What you want is an anal-compulsive type of everything. It's excess, my good man. Why would any developer waste their time producing something that almost no one needs. As for your suggesting Opera 24's Speed Dial is the same as Opera 12's speed dial, you have me in convulsive laughter. There is no comparison. Zero, zip, nada. Put on some real glasses. If you don't see the difference, stay then with Opera 12. I'm humming and singing happy days to this felicitous, wonderful speed dial with folders in Opera 24. And I say to anyone from another browser, try the Speed Dial in Opera 24 if you want to really enjoy a superb speed dial. In any even @crash71, you're totally negative. Query? -- are you working for another browser and trying to put down Opera 24? If not let me suggest that if there were one fray of fabric in a cloth, wonderful, you would keep yammering about the fray of fabric. In my modest opinion, focus on the positive and you'll be a lot happier.

                        lem, you're the best when it comes to representing the new browser. When we see these negative whiners here complaining about this or that... the truth is that for the most part they don't want to be instructed or shown how Opera Blink can meet their needs. No, for the most part they simply want to vent (which I suppose is their right). Given that they represent an infinitely small number of users, we both know that Opera is going to forge ahead in their current direction and continue to produce an awesome browser with or without these whiners. Anyway, keep up the "good fight" my friend.

                          @leushino
                          Hardly whining, thanks. Was just pointing out that the "new" speed dial is not "light years" ahead of the old. As it merely has one feature that the prior incarnation does not, and none of the customization options.

                          @lem729
                          I gave up on Opera 12 about 5 months ago, primarily due to poor Javascript performance (CPU Usage) and bugs. Unfortunately nothing can really replace it.

                            Well... you're quite simply wrong regarding the new speed dial. It's really as simple as that. As for anything replacing the old Opera... time will tell. Blink Opera has definitely replaced it for me and thousands of others so you're only speaking for yourself (which is your prerogative). I guess if it doesn't float your boat and you're unwilling to try to adapt, then finding another browser that suits you is in order. Good luck.

                              Balance is everything. Keeping the positive in mind, doesn't inhibit the ability to have a critical mind.

                                FireFox Nightly x64, and WaterFox x64 are passable (with about a dozen Addons). Although I will say I really like (actually it's awesome) how you can extend and modify the FF interface with normal CSS. e.g. Completely style all the varied Tab-states with CSS.

                                If Opera-Blink ever gets Vertical Tabs, it will be worth looking at bringing it back into regular usage beyond site-compatibility testing with Opera-Dev.

                                If Opera-Blink ever gets a Panel and a side(vertical) bar to put excess Extension icons somewhere else beyond the address-bar then it would likely become my primary browser again.

                                Maybe the Opera Devs will surprise us, and it wont take as long as Bookmarks did.

                                  Unfortunately the Opera Devs haven't surprised us, but Jon von Tetzchner certainly has.
