Present version of Opera constantly crashing; cannot install latest version; problem with Amazon

Ever since I installed Opera, have had constant crashes before it finally - for some reason unbeknownst to me - seems to stabilize; get a message prompting me to REinstall (not an option apparently as only browser capable of doing so; haven't been able to download, attach, save or listen to music on Firefox for 3+ years now and Mozilla remains mystified) or it just crashes completely.....further, have downloaded the latest version on multiple occasions but, cannot install - get Windows notification saying it needs to close.....finally, for some reason, I can no longer preview entire albums of music on Amazon - only single songs; have notified them of it and they're supposed to be reviewing it further.....please advise ASP? Thanks - and I should add, will not use Chrome due to serious privacy concerns and, what with Heartbleed, not thrilled using Internet Explorer for anything - nor is reinstalling XP an option either; don't have the OEM disk as my computer is refurbished.....
