Today, for the first time, McAfee popped up a warning message about a website I was viewing through the Opera browser. I accepted the warning to block one time. Now, McAfee is blocking every web site I try to view through Opera. How do I get this changed in McAfee so I can use Opera again? My trial subscription is expired, so I cannot get into McAfee beyond the Features screen. Everything past this point is un-highlighted and no changes or link clicks are allowed.

My advice is to download and install the free version of Revo Uninstaller. Then install McAfee again (assuming you have uninstalled it) after which you can uninstall it completely with Revo. Revo uses the program's uninstaller and if you check the Advanced removal option, it will then search for and identify all the files left behind by the program's uninstaller. Then you can check these and delete them thereby completely removing McAfee from your system and freeing up Opera.

Make sure you get a new antivirus, of course. There are plenty of free ones, like Avast, Avira, and AVG (from Grisoft). Of course, all will try to get you to upgrade to the paid version, but you don't have to. You should be able to uninstall McAfee from Add/Remove Software in the Control Panel.
