I need thumbnails instead of site logos in speed dial

It depends what sites you're using in Speed Dial.
Some domains, mainly the ones in the default SD I think, like Google and Facebook, only seem to produce a logo in the SD, and it doesn't seem to be possible to change that unfortunately.
Other "normal" sites that you add should produce a thumbnail image of the page you saved into the SD.

It is strange, some time ago (with older opera builds) i got full screenshot of page in speed dial. It is really important for me to save google picture search results on SD so i can see thumbnail of that search result. Isn't there really any way to force opera make a thumbnail?

Don't know if it will help but try renaming the folder "resources" under Opera's install folder.
Didn't work for me. Why is this such a problem, it is XXI century in the end? Why Opera developers doesn't let users to decide what they want and customize SD?

Did you by chance turn on "Coast like Speed dial thumbnails" in opera:flags in Opera 24 Dev?
If so, turn it off and reload each speed dial. -

Partner Speed Dials will preset images for all the pages of similar domain (e.g. twitter.com is a partner entry, if you add twitter.com/user it'll use the partner logo instead of thumbnail), there's no option or fix for that as of now. Unless you customize manually.
Stash is an alternative, but it has a very different usage pattern.

Stash is an alternative, but it has a very different usage pattern.I see. The deal is that i prefer opera so even houswife or kid can use it easily. Okay we will wait till they implement this feature. Maybe.
