@bbildman Disable all adblocker lists and start enabling them again, one by one, to try to find which one is causing the issue.
The problem I have is the minute I enable ad blocking in settings, Opera will crash, and it's almost impossible to boot Opera and find enough time to enable or disable a certain list before it crashes. If you can tell me how to enable ad blocking and also have all lists disabled, I might could do what you are suggesting.

@bbildman Do still have a 137 folder on the installation directory? If so, try starting Opera from there, enable adblocker and disable the lists except for Easylist.
Then close Opera, open it normally and start the process of enabling the lists to see which one is causing the problem.

@leocg Did that, and even booting Opera.exe in the 137 folder caused O to crash immediately. I managed to turn it off again in 139, and now I'm back to no ad blocking or tracking.
But that is not the issue, I think, it's about what is going on as to WHY Opera started to crash in 138 and 139.
Is there a way to get at the lists without doing it in an Opera that refuses to stay open long enough with ad blocking on to be able to access the lists.

@bbildman You can try renaming the adblocker folder in the profile directory.
It's quite frustrating to try to correct a bug that all of a sudden appears in the last 2 Opera iterations.

Any difference in 139.0.6053.22?
Hey there, I'm not sure I want to attempt it without seeing the changelog first, and I can't find it anywhere.

Leo, and IF I rename the adblocker folder, then what should I do next insofar as disabling lists one by one??
Of interest, I can enable the Block Trackers and O does not crash, and under the now Enabled Block Trackers I can get at some lists, would the lists under Tracker and Ads be the same?? If so, I can go about disabling individual lists and see what happens THEN if I enable Block Ads, correct??
OOps I see that the Ad Blocker lists are different than the Block Trackers lists.
I will try to rename Ad Blocker folder, and go from there.

So far I have managed to disable the following lists, leaving JUST Easylist.
Anti-circumvention
NoCoin (Cryptocurrency Mining Protection)
Opera Ad Blocker Site Fixes
And Opera does NOT crash, so now I will enable one by one those lists and depending on which one crashes O, we can assume THAT is the issue, correct??Here's the results::
Both of these lists crashed Opera::
NoCoin (Cryptocurrency Mining Protection)
Anti-circumventionLeaving EasyList and Opera Ad Blocker Site Fixes lists enabled does not cause a crash, and one custom list is enabled and it also does NOT cause crashes.

@bbildman Update, if I leave EasyList enabled, all other lists disabled, Opera does not crash; however if I enable Block Trackers. a crash occurs. If I leave Block Trackers disabled, and leave JUST the EasyList enabled, if I click on "Update", Opera crashes.
There is something amiss in the Ad/Tracker blocking function (since O138 and 139).
