Opera 12.5 not detecting installed flash player?

Hello,
I've been using the same version of Opera for several months, and never updated to the newer versions (thankfully). However, upon reading some about the newest version, I downloaded it, and was very disappointed, so I removed it and downloaded an older version. For the past few days, Opera tells me there is no flash player installed, which is false. I've tried in IE and Chrome (Chrome does have its own flash player plugin, so not much of a help, mind you), and I can view these videos just fine in IE, which is an Opera issue. Is it because I'm using an older model of Opera? If so, that is such bullshit. The new Opera is absolutely horrid.
[Edit] After uninstalled and reinstalling flash player it works now.

Chrome uses its integrated Flash.
IE uses the ActiveX Flash. You need to make sure you have installed the Flash *plug-in* (the one that works for other browsers - Firefox, Opera, etc - the NPAPI). Use Opera to access the Adobe website and you should receive the correct installer.

It is always better to use latest version of a web browser as the latest one is usually more secure and better in performance than previous versions. Latest version also has better compatibility with flash player and other software.
