I understand that in Google Search I can go to "more" and select "web" but I would like that option to be the default whenever I enter a search. i have found instructions for doing that in other browsers, but not Opera. How can I do that?

@modemjunkie Go to opera://settings/search and set Google as your default search engine

@modemjunkie If I understand correctly, you want the "web" tab on Google to be your default search? Can't directly be done in Opera as the search params are hard coded.
That said, you can go to the search settings and add a new search engine and mark it as key "gg", then enter you requested search string. I use:
https://www.google.com/search?q=%s&udm=14
that nukes aio. It is a pain to get used to, but it works.
