Getting Flash to work in Opera 12

I am continuing to use Opera 12 simply because I like speeddial and I have hundreds of bookmarks which I use. However, recently video has stopped working saying I need a new version of Flash, but when I try to install, the button to install flash doesn't appear. Or correctly, it appears for an instant and then disappears again. I don't think it's adblock as I have that installed, but I disabled it to try and it made no difference.
Does anyone have any suggestions? -

Which button is that?
Can't you get Flash Player here? http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

I'm having video flash issues too and it's affecting all the video on all the websites and on news and games and vimeo and it sorta fixed itself but not completely.
opera updated last night when I went to shut down and today nothing has worked properly.
so goes Chrome, so goes internet explorer.
i think i'm just gonna quit using computers.
when you start spending all your time trying to fix everything, it's not useful anymore.
just give me an old ford a land line and a ham radio and cb and the local post office. -

You can download Flash and I have done that. You can get it from Adobe's website and I have done that. But when I install it it is not recognised by Opera. Is it because I am running the portable version? I doubt it. The button is the big yellow install one that you see when you go to Adobe's site, except that I see it only for a split second then it disappears.
It works in Chrome, just not in Opera. What's going on?
