Can someone tell me why we can't sync bookmarks between devices in 2025. It's ridiculous.

@thorntonp I agree. I've spent hours, going round in circles, trying to do this. What is this passphrase nonsense? Why on earth can't I just tell it to get my bookmarks from Firefox and there they are? Never had this trouble with any other browser.

Could it perhaps be because you have two Apple devices running different Mac OS versions.
(I have an older Macbook that is stuck on Mac OS 11.7, my Mac Studio is 11.8. In that case Opera cannot sync, because the Opera versions are different, even if you are logged in on both browsers with the same Opera ID.)
