Lost Tabs and speed dial

I'm kinda low-key panicking here, I'd appreciate any help with this.
Out of nowhere, I started having issues with Opera closing itself, consistently, and without fail. At best, I'd have 5–10 minutes to use it before the window would disappear without even an error notification. Restarting my computer did not help, and eventually I nuked the problem and uninstall reinstalled. Before I did so, I made sure the sync was turned on. Like quintuple checked, no password issues, all the things were checked. The sync said it was on in two places in the UI. and I was reassured by internet and ChatGPT multiple time that the sync would keep my tabs, and I made a speed dial back up folder of all the tabs.
Fast-forward, nails biting. Yep. Open the window, log in. wait a good while... no tabs.... (lies)
I should mention the part that has me puzzled is it seemed like half of my stuff synced. My (empty) workspaces were still there, but the layout of my sidebar? Back to default. All my bookmarks are there, passwords seem intact. Half of my extensions. And while not life breaking, the theme color and wallpaper didn't save either.
I relish in the fact that for once my intuition was right, and I got screwed out of my open tabs. I figure oh well, sucks, but at least I made that back up in speed dial.
Speed Dial Is Gone. Back To Default.
And so you understand the weight of what that means to me... I have ADHD. And the only way to manage my dastardly object impermanence, I have.... A lot of tabs.... if a tab exists, it means there's something I need to do or finish. Like a checklist from hell, but it works, especially since opera has the workspaces (I have like 12 of those) (which side note before it started crashing, and during, would occasionally decide to break and unsorted all my workspace into the main home tab leading to entirely too much time resorting each of those tabs)
The number of tabs that I have lost floating somewhere in some digital dimension, you ask?..... Let's just say that I have a 49" ultra-wide monitor, and if I full screened opera, the entire bar was still filled completely at minimum tab sizes..... several of them had art creations that disappeared if you leave the tabs.
If you made it this far, here have a cookie
all that being said... I really need my tabs back, or else I'm pretty much screwed for some of those tasks and projects I had. (no, I couldn't use bookmarks, that's where ideas go to die slowly. )Does anyone know what happened to my sync setting and or how to get them back??

@Da-Vincis-Daughter Opened tabs are stored in the Session folder in the profile directory. You can backup that folder and start playing with the files to see if you get something.

@leocg is that in the like file explorer files? Or in opera's settings? I can't find it.
And what about the speed dial? Would that be hiding anywhere? -

@Da-Vincis-Daughter You can check the path for the profile directory in opera://about.

@leocg I couldn't find it, but I did figure something out!
It's kinda embarrassing and was also a huge pain, but I found the Tabs page for sessions and the tab info was still saved. It almost looks like it classified itself as a new computer, instead of the original?
Either way, for anyone else that finds this, sidebar option towards the bottom.I had to click through and sort all 146 tabs
but I have them back at least now.
and yes, I should really close some tabs....
