How do you disabled the awful new tab system?

I don't have thumbs 30cm long, so the new tab feature is just horrendous. Whoever thought the new tabs were a good idea!

However, it appears that there is no way to put them back to their original format.

could you please explain what do you mean.
So tabs grouping is default setting, right? But how to disable it to have the classic single tabs?

@cska133 This topic is not about tab islands, but you can disable it in settings. In Browser section, disable the option to automatically create tabs islands.

haha, I thought I was the only one doing thumb gymnastics with this new tab system! I ended up rage-deleting the update and rolling back to the older version.

for now, I’m back in the comfy embrace of classic tabs, where everything makes sense and my fingers don’t need a yoga class. here’s hoping Opera wakes up and gives us the option to un-new things properly soon!
