Speed dial synching - details

I prefer speed dials (SDs) to bookmarks, but I've found few details on how to manage them, ie what happens when you delete one. Using SDs for setting up a new device works great, but what happens after that?

None of my devices has identical SD setups, and I don't want them to because I use them for different activities/tasks. I've found that leaving Sync on is a PITA.

I often import one or more SDs from another device, which is great when they're saved to my account, but understanding how and when all this happens is beyond me.

Can anyone point me to where I can find this information?

@leocg Sorry I wasn't clearer: Detailed information on how sync works.

For example it appears that no SDs are ever deleted from the sync list, so that if you turn sync on you end up with old 'ghost' SDs.

@Agabb Synced speed dials can be seen in Other Speed Dials.

If you remove something from there, it is also removed from the original device.

@leocg Really? I can't delete anything on mine. How do you delete them?
