I am frustrated by the unusable weather widget on the Google Chrome Speed Dial 2 start page. It never accepts the location I enter manually.

So, after trying all the suggested methods for removing all Google references in the Opera settings, (yes, using Google to find them) I tried installing the DuckDuckGo extension.

Opera still uses a Google text box on the start page.

Do I have to live with this?

@jkw47 As already said, search engine in start page/speed dial can't be changed.

You can hide the search field in settings page if you want.
