@leocg Opera One, I wouldn't even know what the others are or where to get them, I just went to the Opera site and downloaded "Opera"!

Yes there is a difference, large is readable, small and medium are not.

Weirdly, notice the i immediately after the letter f has a higher dot and is therefore legible.

Also notice settings page (which doesn't seem to change size for some reason) is much clearer. Do you know what font this is? I chose Verdana because it's the only proportional spaced one I know of where iIlL1 are all different. Typing in here, I see capital eye and lower case ell are identical. Does verdana not get used in here?!

          Small

          Medium
          alt text

          Large
          alt text

          Settings
          alt text

Only large and settings are legible here both on a 40" 1920x1080 TV and a 19" 1600x1200 monitor.

Now..... this is Verdana font in Wordpad, notice the upper case eye and lower case ell are completely different! Therefore Opera is not using Verdana!!!!

P.S. why is this forum non standard and doesn't use the [img] tags? That's what imgur gives and I had to edit them all!

It uses markdown, which is also a standard for forums.

@hucker Did you try increasing minimum font size?

I've never seen it elsewhere and imgur doesn't seem to know of it.

I don't understand, I can't find that setting and don't see why it would be more helpful than what I already changed (to large).

Also, what font is used in settings itself, because that's better.

Also, Opera is not using Verdana as I told it to! Compare with Wordpad I posted above!

@hucker The font used on sites are defined by the sites themselves. Only if the site hasn't set up a font is that the one you select on settings will be used.

I asked Duckduckgo AI what font it uses. Last time it said "default sans-serif" which I gather is a TYPE of font, not a particular one, and Opera is set to use Verdana for that.
