Recovering Lost Tabs After Computer Restart

After restarting M1 2020 Mac Mini on Sonoma, Opera came back with only one of 12 windows, losing most of the 1200 + open tabs. How to restore the tabs / windows?
Maybe Opera corrupt? Top menus not displayed, webpage icons are not triggering the link action such as adding an attachment in Gmail. -

@PeterJChandler hello! there are 2 ways to restore closed window:
- open history panel in sidebar - in recently closed section you should see your closed window and a button to restore it
- click on magnifing glass icon on top right corner - in recently closed section you should see your closed window and a button to restore it
Hope it will help!

@nkgrzegorzewicz Thank you for the suggestion. Unfortunately as suggested in the last sentence, none of the menus or icons on the page are responding. Click on them & nothing happens, no menus, no history, just the mouse in the address bar on the homepage. Was hoping that there was a log somewhere I could save as I guess I have to reinstall Opera as it is not responding. Other applications are working fine.

@PeterJChandler Opera responding after restart. However, the history is extensive, but just shows the tabs when they are viewed. The history does not appear to show closed windows, and did not notice Opera dropping so many windows after that computer restart.

@PeterJChandler Can you try in history in sidebar panel? It has additional section "Recently closed". To see it you need to have "Open in panel" selected for History in sidebar:
In addition in top menu when you click on History, you should also see Recently closed section.
This section is not available if you go to opera:history, on that page we just show visited pages. -

@nkgrzegorzewicz Thank you for the suggestions. I have set my panel up to include history, but that only shows tabs listed by the day that they were viewed, not closed windows, a very long process to recover tabs open for some time.
My tools look a little different to yours, but is hat a reflection on choices in Appearance? Seems not have enough privileges to upload picture of my Opera Settings.
The History Menu only included tabs opened since that crash, not before where so many were closed by Opera.
