Out of nowhere, Opera GX started to have Trojans, I already cleaned everything, uninstalled it, restarted it and it still didn't come out

@erato265 Opera does not provide email services and hasn't for years.

@gianteli9714 Whar does the message say? Generally, any warning that is identified as heuristic is a warning about features of the program that could possibly be used in a bad way, not that they have done so. In particular, certain antivirus products tend to identify the background updater as malicious, since it does install updates without asking beforehand.

Just today i got a message from Kaspersky that the installer.exe is a Trojan: "pdm:trojan.win32.generic", then after antivirus was done(it deleted this exact file and cured sone others) and restarted the computer i opened Opera again and the same thing happend. After that i deleted all extentions cleared the cache and everything else like browser history and all cookies. Then antivisus did the same thing as before and i restarted computer and as soon as i opened Opera the same this happend all over again. I desised to reinstall Opera but it didn't help, everything happen again as soon as i clicked install button in a setup programm. The thing is that Kaspersky updaded its servises and maybe it has something to do with that.

@leocg That sounds concerning! But just to clarify—did you download Opera GX from the official website? Sometimes antivirus programs can flag false positives, especially with gaming-focused browsers or mods. If it’s from the official source, it’s most likely safe. Try updating your antivirus definitions or scanning with another tool to double-check. Better safe than sorry!
