Pop up web page won't stay closed

I have a web page that I can't close . It pops up every time I open opera and no matter how I close it the next time I open opera it is there again. It is a web site I was using yesterday, it is the confirmation page. Any idea how to get rid of it ?

@rosalyn Try disabling extensions. Also check the On Startup section in settings page.

I have uninstalled Opera and reinstalled it and it has now disappeared. Nothing else would work but thanks anyway.

@rosalyn I spoke too soon it is happening again, this time it is a facebook page

It says oops something went wrong but I can't close it. I have uninstalled opera and reinstalled it but it is still there.
Looks as if I will be changing to another browser,
